House of Events by Otta Albernaz Arquitetura
The Genesis House is a luxurious contemporary residence designed by Otta Albernaz Arquitetura in a beautiful Brazilian environment. This house has presented new challenges for the construction crew as well as for the entire environment. With living space under 3,000 square feet, the interior offers many things with a functional minimalist style.
This is a new architectural paradigm for construction companies and the environment in which it is located.
Exploring rereading of modern contemporary designs, this house has clear concrete in the structure of stairs and ground floor pillars. The living room, TV and fireplace all communicate with the kitchen, spontaneously and barrier-free, which, in turn, houses a support table and cooking room. This can also be used for fast dining, and service, when receiving in the dining room, in constant interaction.
Complementing the use of large rooms, gourmet areas and balconies is an extension of the social area, with continuity of the main and supporting tables. The incorporation of various environments into a unique, fully integrated, highly functional and friendly living space invites entry, acceptance and interaction between their residents and visitors.
Due to land use restrictions, such as space restrictions by mandatory minimum setbacks, on the sides and behind, floor-to-ceiling glass frames are used on almost the entire perimeter of the floor. When fully opened, they hide in walls, fully integrate the entire environment and bring fluidity, which ensures adequate insulation and constant cross ventilation, characteristic of the project. They also promote a sense of spaciousness and total occupation of land, where the boundaries of shelter are that of the plot. There is no difference between interior and exterior: the glass walls make the boundaries disappear, unnoticed, allowing full visual communication and abundant natural lighting. When needed, the use of curtains ensures occupant privacy.
One characteristic of residential implantation is also due to the presence of green corridors and can be accessed for pedestrian crossings, on the right side of the parking lot. Although it is impossible to open a house directly into the space, which allows, therefore, greater privacy, the existence of this “emptiness” provides a better exploration of this facade, in line with the future.
Brise soleil has a contemporary use and is a trademark of architecture, and ensures more adequate protection against intense insulation. With many independent openings, he modified the house constantly, which breathed and renewed itself with its inhabitants, as used, opened and closed randomly.
Because all the rooms dialogue with each other, materials that communicate harmoniously and bring comfort and warmth to the occupants are used: concrete, dominant on the ground floor; wood and its texture, at the entrance, brises, stairs and intimate floor space; and extensive use of glass, which limits and, together, provides visual permeability.
In an intimate area, located upstairs, the master suite bathroom reinforces the touch and elegance enhancements needed in the project. The reversible suite can also be transformed into an intimate TV or office room. Two other suites (rooms with private closets and bathrooms) complete the program.
